Galway WFC secured their first three points of the season after facing off in Kilkenny yesterday.

Kilkenny United WFC took the lead in the 14th minute, with Carla McManus scoring from a free kick. Kilkenny kept this lead until the 30th minute, when Aislinn Meaney scored an equalizing goal, after a pass from Ellie O'Flaherty.

The second half was dominated by Galway, retaining the majority of possession and creating numerous scoring opportunities. Unluckily, two goals from Sadhbh Doyle were disallowed because she was called offside. But, in the 80th minute, Tessa Mullins snuck a pass up the middle of the box to Aoife Thompson (sponsored by Seven Bridgestreet), who scored the game-winning goal by shooting the ball through the keeper Butler's legs.
